Meet the Irvine Team Behind Otto’s Garage Door

We’re not a franchise. We’re not a call center with a rotating cast of subcontractors. We’re a small crew of people who live in and around Irvine, and we’ve been fixing garage doors here since 2004. When you call Otto’s Garage Door, the person who answers the phone knows your neighborhood, knows the weather patterns that seize up your rollers, and probably knows someone on your street. That’s the point of being local. The name on the van is the name on the invoice and the name on the license. Here’s who shows up.

Our People

Otto Reinhardt – Owner, Lead Technician

Otto founded Otto’s Garage Door in 2004 and has never stopped running calls himself. He’s the one who answers the phone at nine at night when a spring lets go and your car is stuck in the garage. He quotes the job on that call and holds the price when he gets there. After 29 years in the trade, he can diagnose most problems by sound over the phone before he even sees the door. He’s trained on LiftMaster, Chamberlain, Genie, Clopay, Amarr, Wayne Dalton, Craftsman, and Raynor, and he counts spring cycles the way you count tire miles. If the opener is straining, he’ll tell you straight: the problem is almost never the opener. Otto is a palindrome. Reads the same from either end, same as the door. He likes it that way.

Marco D. – Senior Installer

Marco has been installing doors with Otto for over twelve years, and he’s the guy you want on a full door replacement. He’s measured and hung everything from standard two-car builders’ doors to custom Clopay and Amarr installs in Turtle Rock and Northwood. Marco is certified in residential installation best practices and can shim a door so it closes square and silent even when the opening is out of level by half an inch. He’s patient with customers who want to understand what he’s doing, and he’ll walk you through the steps without making you feel rushed. Outside of work, Marco coaches his daughter’s AYSO team and has strong opinions about which Irvine parks have the best shade.

Elena R. – Service Coordinator

Elena is often the first voice you hear when you call. She’s been with Otto’s since 2016 and knows the schedule, the parts inventory, and which truck is closest to Woodbridge when your door won’t close. Elena handles a lot of the same-day coordination and makes sure the 90-Day Done Right Promise goes out in writing on every single invoice. She’s fluent in the whole catalog of springs, cables, rollers, and openers, so when she says someone will be there between two and four, she means it. On weekends you might find her at the Orange County Great Park farmers market, usually insisting on buying more produce than she needs.

Dev P. – Apprentice Technician

Dev joined the crew two years ago and came up through a hands-on apprenticeship under Otto and Marco. He handles spring inspections, cable checks, roller replacements, and opener diagnostics under close supervision, and he’s already earned his certification in garage door system safety. Dev is meticulous about torque settings and won’t leave a job until every bolt is tight and every test cycle passes. He’s the youngest member of the team and the first to volunteer for the early morning calls. When he’s not on a ladder, Dev is restoring a 1987 pickup truck that spends more time in pieces than on the road, by his own admission.

One Standard, Every Job

Every person on this crew works by the same set of rules, and they’re not complicated. Show up on time. Quote the price before work starts and don’t change it at the door. Do the job right the first time, and if something isn’t right, come back and fix it. That’s the 90-Day Done Right Promise, and it goes in writing on every invoice, not just the big ones. Uniformed, background-checked, and carrying the owner’s name on their backs, the whole team works like they’ll see you again on Saturday. Because around here, they probably will.
